Here at the University of Oregon our goal is to provide an opportunity for students to build life-long friendships and to create an environment where all riders have the ability to compete against other IHSA affiliated universities regardless of their financial status or riding background. We accept all levels of riders and often have more spots for beginners on the show team than advanced riders!  

 

We have a Western and a Hunt Seat show team. Our competing members ride in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's Zone 8, Region 4 . IHSA shows are based on catch riding, with riders randomly drawing a horse to show and going into their class with no prior warm-up.  The regular show season runs from November through March, with post-season competition culminating at Nationals in May.
